I have a busy life, daily wacky routine, mommy duties and working on myself to get fit and healthy. With this said, I have been looking for a watch that can keep up with me, let me time myself with my workouts, and something that isn’t huge, bulky and that has style and can stay clean from my sweats.
Solution? I think I found one with Timex!
Timex, a leader in outdoor and sports performance timepieces, has unveiled the Timex® Ironman® Sleek™ 150-Lap watch with TapScreen™ Technology, a revolutionary collection of precision sports timing instruments that conveniently responds to an athlete’s touch.
The innovative collection’s three signature elements – TapScreen Technology, Target time pacer, and Labeled interval timers – are designed to enhance performance by allowing athletes to focus less on managing their sports watch during workouts.
The collection’s revolutionary TapScreen™ Technology allows users to easily activate the lap feature by “tapping” anywhere on the timepiece’s face, rather than having to locate and push buttons mid-stride.
The Target time pacer delivers distinct audible alerts, indicating if the runner is on pace, slow or fast, in addition to displaying the time ahead or behind pace. This allows athletes to adjust their speed accordingly and adhere to race day strategy.
The 16 interval timers are labeled with intuitive names such as warm, slow, med, fast and cool, making complex interval workouts automatic and effortless. The watch stores up to three separate interval workout programs at once, allowing athletes to utilize customized routines throughout their training programs.
“The Timex Ironman Sleek 150-Lap with TapScreen Technology redefines how athletes interact with their timepieces in training and competition,” said Heberto Calves, vice president of marketing at Timex. “The collection’s innovative features allow athletes to stay focused on performance while still taking laps and receiving feedback on pace.”
The collection’s strong, modern design is engineered to optimize style, ease-of-use and comfort. The watch face features a large-digit display and curved lens for easy viewing and tapping, and the durable, muscle-lined strap minimizes skin contact and optimizes ventilation during strenuous activity.
The Timex Ironman Sleek 150-Lap with TapScreen Technology is the latest addition to Timex’s powerful 150-lap series, a favorite within the global performance sports community. The collection will be available in a variety of men’s and women’s styles, marking the first time a 150-lap collection with such advanced sports timing benefits and large, easy-to-read digits will be available in styles designed specifically with women in mind.

What do I think about the Timex Ironman Sleek-150 Lap? First off, I think this is a very sleek looking watch.

The band is very comfortable, and fits nicely around the wrist. It is a very solid material that will not stick to your skin or pull the hairs on your arms.

The latch is very easy to work, to open and close and the adjustable size is nice.

I like that the watch has a button where you can push to get the numbers to show up in the darkness. The timer is easy to program and easy to use; making it perfect to time my workouts or runs. Hubby used to have a watch that I thought was similar to this, but the features were so hard to access and so hard to use – therefore the watch ended up in the drawer and never to be seen of again. I like the Timex Ironman #1) because of its’ ease of use, #2) numerous functions that I can use for several different workouts, #3) the style and appearance doesn’t scream ‘work out watch’; meaning I can wear this with just about any casual attire or workout gear without the bulkiness of a watch that appears that I am keeping tabs of my workouts, #4) when I am running, jogging or simply walking, this watch stays in place without the discomfort of being too tight around my arm that it cuts off circulation & #5) the price can’t be beat, in my opinion. It is well made and well worth the price.
