Together, we can all give back. Especially with the holidays here, my family is helping give back with donating things to the local schools, preschool, we are creating Military Care Packages to send over seas, as well as donating some boxes that we have been saving all year round for families in need this holiday season. Last year, right before Christmas to the ground down the street from us were burnt to the ground from faulty holiday lights. We donated a lot of kids’ things to the families so that their kids wouldn’t go without presents. This year, we are doing the same.
If you are able to, please help your community. You can donate anything that you have from canned foods, dry food, drink mixes, gifts, just about anything. Please check with your local schools, community organizations, Safe Place Shelters and even your City Courthouse may be able to direct you to what can be done to help.
Also, to spread some great news in Trisha Haas and the MomDot.com Community recently fulfilled some teachers’ wishes by donating to their classrooms. I have chills from seeing some of the letters from Trisha’s post and seeing the looks on the kids’ faces are enough to make anyone smile.

See the change. BE the change.

I like to donate toys or coats to kid centered charities. I don’t know if I have enough time this year but I’d like to start taking our worn socks and transforming them into softies to donate either to a women’s and children’s shelter or to a children’s hospital.
