Truly Golden Friendship

You know when you meet that person in your life that you knew was destined to be a part of your life forever? Have you ever had those moments where you are just ‘connected’ with someone. Maybe you think the exact same thoughts at the same time, or say something at the same time? Well, that is what Laurie is. She has put up with me when I wasn’t ‘all there’. She has inspired me that positivity is the only outlook on life.

I open an anonymous box that came in the mail today and this was in it. No note. Not a clue where it came from, but I had a suspicion. Thank you Laurie!

Willow Tree Golden Friendships

I saw this and it fit perfectly!

A Golden Chain

Friendship is a Golden Chain,
The links are friends so dear,
And like a rare and precious jewel
It’s treasured more each year…

It’s clasped together firmly
With a love that’s deep and true,
And it’s rich with happy memories
and fond recollections, too…

Time can’t destroy its beauty
For, as long as memory lives,
Years can’t erase the pleasure
That the joy of friendship gives…

For friendship is a priceless gift
That can’t be bought or sold,
But to have an understanding friend
Is worth far more than gold…

And the Golden Chain of Friendship
Is a strong and blessed tie
Binding kindred hearts together
As the years go passing by.

~Helen Steiner Rice

Thank you Laurie! Love you girl!

Lovely gift, lovely poem and a true friendship.
I had a friend like that, she passed away last year… Funny how I still found myself looking at things for her for Christmas – I am still connected to her.
