I travel a lot, but we, as a family, try to take at least two family travel vacations a year. There isn’t a whole lot to do here in Iowa (that I know of at least!), but there are a few places that I would love to take my family: Florida, is one of those places. Did you know that Kissimmee is the Heart of Florida? You don’t have to spend a fortune to have a ton of fun. In Kissimmee, there are SO many things that are nearby, so you don’t have to limit your family’s urge to have fun by staying in one location, in a one specific area.
- Adventure Island
- Amazing Exotics
- Bok Tower Gardens
- Busch Gardens® Tampa Bay
- Fantasy of Flight
- Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex
- Lakeridge Winery & Vineyards
- Silver Springs
Weeki Wachee Springs- Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens
- Dinosaur World
- Blue Spring State Park
After looking at this list of things to do, there’s no way I want to go to one theme park in general. Why; when I can stay in Kissimmee and enjoy so many things nearby with my family?
The one thing that caught my eye was Dinosaur World. Oh, how my 4 ½ year old would love to see this! I would love to go to Kennedy Space Center! I would also love to see the Botanical Gardens! I would love to get a rental home for my family, but if we were to visit and stay at a hotel, the Gaylord Palms Resort look like it would be amazing to stay at, especially since it is right in the heart of everything we would love to do!
There are so many places within this area that I would love to visit ranging from indoor activities, to soaking in the outdoors.
