Verizon is known for cell phones, devices, and service, but what would you say if I told you that Verizon (for our family), is also known for reconnecting loved ones? Well, it’s true.
I will have our complete story soon, but I wanted to share with you all that my Verizon Galaxy Note 3 has not only kept me in contact with friends and family, but it’s also helped me to reconnect with family that we haven’t been in contact with for quite some time. I wanted to scream this from the rooftops this weekend, however I wanted to get permission first.
Here’s my story.
My Verizon Galaxy Note 3 with 4GLTE service has stayed on me at all times, at all locations, even within my home. This may sound weird, but since we don’t have a home phone, my Note 3 is in my pocket at all times just in case I need to make a call or so I can easily be reached when I’m on the go. Well, exactly one month ago, I was unpacking boxes from our recent move and was adding photos to my memory shelf that’s above my desk. I took a photo of my area and posted it on Instagram. Within a few minutes, I saw a ‘follow notification’ from my oldest daughter whom I’ve been kept from for 14 years. I thought it was a cruel joke and that someone was playing a mean joke on me. I decided to go follow this user, and within a couple of minutes, my follow request was accepted, and I had a comment on this photo asking if she could call me that evening. I posted my number on this photo (later deleted it for privacy reasons), and we talked on the phone that night for two hours.
If I hadn’t had my Verizon Galaxy Note 3 ON ME this day, I would have missed the comments and the reconnection time of my baby girl. Later this evening, we talked on the phone, had been texting each other all evening to continue the reconnection, as well as we were sending each other photos to catch up on memories that we both missed out on. I then added several photos that I had in my Verizon Cloud and DropBox, on to Instagram and texted them to her. I love LOVE the Cloud! It helps save space and memory on my Note 3, and if something were to happen to the phone itself, it’s safely backed up.
This brings us to this past extended holiday weekend, Labor Day. We had been in contact for almost a month, when she wanted to come visit us here in Iowa. Gladly, we said YES and we started looking for airline tickets. I used my Galaxy Note 3 and searched for airfare from American Airlines and compared on Kayak. We got her plane ticket and in just a few short days, she would be here…. in my arms and ready to make up for lost time. I was able to use my Galaxy Note 3 and the VZW Navigator to get to the airport, and used the American Airline app to track her flights.
My Galaxy Note 3 also captured the moment that we saw each other for the first time. Pardon the shakiness of the video. I was crying like a blubbering boof.
The entire time that she was in our home, I never put my Note 3 down. I wanted to soak in her being here, so I wasn’t on the phone itself, however I was capturing videos and as many photos as I possibly could.
Without overwhelming you all on this post about how my Galaxy Note 3 captured our reunion, I will leave it with this photo. My family….. it’s finally complete!
Stay tuned for more ways that my Verizon Galaxy Note 3 has been so involved in our lives and our full story on my mother & daughter reunion. You won’t wanna miss this!

As member of an awesome team of influencers, I received the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with line of service from Verizon. No additional compensation was provided nor did I promise positive feedback. All opinions are my own & 100% truthful.
