We start using different hand towels in the bathroom. We pick up an extra tube of toothpaste and stop sharing one. No kissing. No sharing of food or beverages. Clean the phone with alcohol after the sickie uses it. By reducing the opportunities to swap germs, we've usually been able to keep from getting each other sick.
