Holiday Feast for 8 at Walmart for $20! *Two $30 Gift Cards Giveaway* (Closed)

When I think about the holidays, one of the first things that I think about is: ‘How much are we going to spend to have a nice Thanksgiving feast?’ You don’t have to go broke this holiday season to feed your family a holiday meal. Did you know that you can feed a nice turkey dinner for a family of 8 for as low as $20.00? I had to put this to the test and guess what? It worked!

walmart holiday meal mommy goggles

From turkey and stuffing to mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie, Thanksgiving is not only a day for families to spend time together but also the ultimate eating holiday.

This November, Walmart wants to make sure all Americans have the opportunity to create lasting memories with their families by offering a Thanksgiving Meal for Eight for as low as $20.

According to a survey by the American Farm Bureau Federation, last year’s average cost of a turkey was roughly $1.19 per pound. Select Grade A turkeys are available now for 40 cents per pound at Walmart.* These gobblers are part of Walmart’s $20 Thanksgiving menu guaranteeing family favorites will be on the dinner table this holiday season. Walmart’s $20 Thanksgiving feast includes:

  • One 12-pound Grade A turkey*
  • Three 11 to 15.5-ounce cans Green Giant vegetables
  • Two 14-ounce cans Ocean Spray cranberry sauce
  • Three 6-ounce boxes of Stove Top stuffing
  • One 5-pound bag of red potatoes
  • One 12-count package of Sara Lee dinner rolls
  • One 22-ounce pumpkin roll cake

And for those less confident in the kitchen, Food Network star Melissa d’Arabian has created tasty twists on traditional holiday dishes using the ingredients found in the Thanksgiving basket.

What are you having this holiday season? We are so excited to be able to feed our entire family on this $20.00 budget!

I love it all, but good, juicy white meat turkey is something I do look forward to. I don’t even need the gravy if it is tender enough. Yum – only 3 more hours to go!

Since I only eat the white meat of the turkey, I made turkey cutlets last year (and will do it again this year and beyond) I sauteed them in olive oil and fresh poultry herbs. AMAZING flavor and so juicy, too! I had that with my now-famous cornbread/pumpkin bread stuffing and a huge heap of Manchego Potatoes (recipe courtesy Rachael Ray.) Carb heaven. YUM!

I love Mashed Potatoes and Gravy. No Turkey Dinner is complete without it.
