Weight Watchers Online *Plus Membership Giveaway!* (Closed)

weigh watchersWhat are you doing to get fit and healthy for 2010? I am doing a few things, but one thing that I chose to do again this year was Weight Watchers Online.

In July 2005, I had Tucker and around October, I was fed up. I went to local Weight Watcher meetings, ate better, worked out and felt great! By summer of 2006, I had lost 108 pounds! I lost ALL of my pregnancy weight, plus 40 pounds. I was back to where I was long before I got married.

In January 2007, I got pregnant with Kambry. (I guess the weight loss sparked more interest at home ;) ) I had Kambry October 1, 2007. I did pretty darn good at losing the pregnancy weight I had gained and was on a great roll… then we made a cross state move so I didn’t have that local support and the local gym anymore. I started working out on my own and did great, but would love to lose 20 pounds. Sure, you can do it on your own, but with any type of support that you have helps give that boost you (we all!) need.

I joined Weight Watchers this evening. Weigh in is every Monday morning. This WILL be a fit and fab year!

More info to come on Weight Wathers, as well as more health & fitness tips, challenges and more!

My last straw was when I was sitting in the ER because one side of my face had gone numb and the medical staff thought that I might have had a stroke. I am overweight because of a thyroid problem, and felt that since my metabolism wasn’t working (though I’m on meds for it,) I may as well eat. Since my family history includes obesity and strokes, I got very scared. Luckily, it was a nerve problem related to a neck injury a while back, but it put the scare in me that I had to lose weight. I’ve lost 9 lbs. in the past 2 weeks, and already feel better. Goodbye chocolate binges!

I have used weight watchers in the past, I love them! I lost 30lbs in 6 months 6 years ago, and until this past year have kept off all the weight. Being in my late 30s though, I’m noticing it’s harder and harder to keep the weight off, soooo, even though I’m on “maintenance” I’d love to be able to have a 3 month online to kick off a few pounds, so I can be ready for our two week cruise in spring.

My last straw was when my husband brought out a picture of us from right before I had our first daughter, who is now three, and when he asked her who was in the picture she didn’t recognize me. He said “Look Honey, it’s Mommy!” And she looked at the picture and back to me and said “No Daddy, that’s not my mommy!” That really opened my eyes, and hurt me really bad. I have 30 lbs of weight I have held on to since giving birth to my second child 19 months ago.

I don’t own a scale… I’m weighed yearly at the doctor’s office. I gained 10 lbs this year! When they told me my weight, I saw an instant flash of what I’ll look like in 10 years if I continue to gain this weight.

    That was instant inspiration!

  37. 155

The last straw to getting healthy was when the steps were getting harder and harder to walk. Getting more exercise and trying to eat healthier. Thank you!

I look at the clothes I bought only a few years ago that I can’t fit anymore and sometimes I can’t believe I’m looking at the same person in the mirror. I look so different. I really want to fit those clothes again and feel better about myself.

I recently had my picture published in the newspaper and WOW did I not look like what I think I look like. It’s time to get serious about my health before I have serious health issues.

    Deborah Perry says:

This year, my husband and I took a vacation together, and when we got home and looked at the pictures, I felt like saying to everyone close to me, “Why didn’t you tell me I was that big?” In my head, I still picture myself as 50 pounds thinner, and those pictures really shocked me!

So for this year, I have decided that I will train for a marathon thos fall. However, I know myself and my habits, and I know I also need to control my eating (both WHAT I eat and HOW MUCH). I’ve never tried Weight Watchers, but I think it could be the perfect thing to help me develop the habits that I need to be able to look at pictures of myself and be happy with what I see!

  44. 148
    Rachel H. says:

My wake-up call was having a family member pass away from a heart attack. He was only 44, and just weeks earlier got a clear bill of health. What I experience now isn’t guilt when we’re too busy to have anything but McDonalds…but rather disappointment that I couldn’t do better. So for me, I’m ready to lose weight and stay healthier from here on out.

My last straw was i went to dr jan 26th 2009, was 255 lbs and she said i need to lose weight bad or im gonna be diabetic and so i started that day on a life change. I have lost 45lbs to date.I have hit a platuea LOL. But need to lose another 45 or more to be healthy. I would love to try weight watchers but its not in my budget right now.

    Cheri says:

This is going to sound silly but I didn’t realize how much I needed to lose 15-20 pounds until I saw myself in a family photo. This extra weight would probably also explain why I’m tired all the time. The last straw for me was running around in the backyard with my kids and realizing I just could not keep up. I’ve only heard great things about WW and would love to try them.

I have been struggling with weight issues since I was a kid. I have been on diets off and on for many years, the only success I have had is losing 50 lbs while I was pregnant for my first daughter, only to gain it all back and then some. My last straw is now, as I am so tired of carrying all of this weight and not having clothes that fit me comfortably. I also am scared that if I don’t change my ways soon, I may not be around for my kids due to health reasons. My goal is to lose 100 lbs this year with hard work and willpower. I want to lose the weight for my kids and I have never tried a Weight Watchers program before, but my sister did once and lost a good amount of weight. Thanks so much for such a wonderful giveaway, I know this would be a beneficial program for me.

I made a resolve to myself to lose weight, mainly because I have a disease known as Lupus (systemic) & because there’s already so much going wrong with my body – one less thing to worry about (being overweight) is always a good thing.
My ‘last straw’ moment was my girls telling me “You should get that Mommy” when some kind of weight loss drink came on the t.v, and my eldest son (14) whipped hs head around & hissed “SHHH, Moms not fat!!”, while casting me an apologetic look.
Done! I want to lose this bloody weight, & be done with the whole thing!

I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 40 in Sept. of 2007. After a lot of testing, a lumpectomy and finally a bilateral mastectomy, I started chemo in Dec. 2007. My weight was 120 at that time. Because of the steroids they put me on during chemo, I gained a whopping 40 pounds…and I’m still carrying it around :( Not only do I now have disfigured breasts, I’m over weight and totally hate it. This is the year I have to get the weight off by eating healthy and exercising.

My last straw was when I went to purchase a plane ticket and I was told I had to buy 2 seats because of my size. I never bought that ticket, I was so embarrassed and ashamed.
I want to lose weight so I can feel better and more confident about myself. I no longer want to be ashamed when I leave the house. I will go several days, sometimes weeks, without leaving the house, because I am so ashamed of how fat I’ve gotten.
I have a goal to lose 110 pounds!
I tried Weight Watchers for 4 months in 2008 and I lost 53 lbs! Unfortunately, I stopped doing it and gained almost all the weight back. But I am back on track now and determined to achieve my dream! Thank you for the wonderful contest!

I have never tried Weight Watchers, but I want to. My goal is to lose at least 30 pounds, though ideally I would love to lose 45. I want to lose weight so that I can stop being so self-conscious. I am tired of deleting pictures of myself with my son/husband/friends because I hate the way I look. And Im tired of feeling nervous and self conscious about meeting new people because of my weight.

My event was a visit to the emergency room for chest pressure ending up in a hearth cath and finding 85% blockage of a major artery. It’s fixed now and I didn’t even have a heart attack but I don’t want to go through that again.

I have tried Weight Watchers in the past and was very successful. I made it to lifetime status but have gained the weight back plus much more. I want to get down to a weight so I can go back to one of my doctors. In 2007 he told me to lose 17 pounds before my visit the following year. I have gained about 25 and I just can’t face him at my current weight.

I had the twins last Feb and a year later, have yet to get back in shape. I am tired of wearing a constricting girdle device to try to get into my work pants. I want to to be able to stay alert at work to get things done so I can come home in time to spend a few hours with the kids before putting them to bed.

I need to lose weight for a lifetime change !!My last straw was looking at myself in a full lenght mirror and I scared me. I thought someone else was in the dressing room with me!! I have always heard a lot about Weight Watcher but have never tried the diet,I think its about time.

The last straw is that none of my clothes fit. I look fat, feel awful, but most of all, I want to be able to wear the clothes that I already own. I can’t afford financially or psychologically to start all over again with a new wardrobe. We are moving next week and once I get unpacked and settled in, I am motivated to start again to lose weight. Weight Watchers has helped me in the past, and I would be very interested in starting there again.

    Renee C. says:

Why do you want to lose weight? My 11 year old keeps telling me that I should buy some of the cute clothes out there and it is hard for me to explain to her that cute clothes don’t look cute on me anymore…kind of embarrassing.

Do you have a goal? This can be a weight goal, life goal, you name it! I am not sure where to start with weight but I would like to drop about 30 or more to increase my health. My gynocologist suggested it last year.

What was your last straw to want to get healthy? I have had a few but it was seeing my FACEBOOK pic, don’t like it too much…

Have you tried Weight Watchers in the past? I have eaten some Weight Watchers recipes but I am afraid of the “weigh-in” maybe online would not be as intimidating.

    Thanks for the opportunity!

I’ve gained 75 pounds in the 10 years since I’ve been out of college. I am miserable and the last straw was seeing pictures from Christmas that my sister posted on Facebook. I was so horrified that I had to untag myself because I don’t want anyone seeing them!

I too used weight watchers online years ago and did amazing on it. I lost 30 lbs. that first time. Then I became ill with gastrintestinal problems and months of eating problems and problems with pain which stopped me from being able to exercise. I had surgery to repair the damage, but the damage to my weight had been done. I have been eating healthy and walking every single day (treadmill now that there is snow on the ground) and have lost some of the weight again, but I know I need more help. When I went to buy new jeans and found out what size I needed, it was the last straw for me. I may not ever be a 100 soaking wet again, but a healthy weight and the ability to get into a sexy pair of jeans is enough for me. Weight Watchers online was the more I needed last time, it made me accountable to myself and kept me honest.

Why do you want to lose weight?
I want to lose weight to feel better. I want to be able to walkin a store and pick up something and not question how it is made or if it will fit. I want to be a good example for my step-daughter.

Do you have a goal? This can be a weight goal, life goal, you name it!
I want to be able to get pregnant and have a pregnancy not made difficult because of being overweight.

What was your last straw to want to get healthy?
My last straw was when I was told by my employer that they were doing a wellness program. Last year, they did a physical, if by this June I am not able to increase the score I was graded at last year, then I have to pay double per week for health insurance.

Have you tried Weight Watchers in the past?
I have and it works. It just takes the dedication to do the program.

■Why do you want to lose weight? My baby is a toddler now, it is time to get back into shape.

■Do you have a goal? My goal weight is to lose 30lbs.

■What was your last straw to want to get healthy? Pictures. I saw my arms & chins. Blech.

■Have you tried Weight Watchers in the past? Yes, I used it successfully about 7 years ago and lost 30 lbs using WW Online. It is doable.

They keep inviting me back, but I cannot afford it as a single mom with no income.

Girl you know how I feel about WW. I lost my first 65 of 90lbs on WW. I love it. You can eat what you want just in moderation. Also did you know that the new verizon phone DRIOD has a scanner that you can scan a sku and it shows you the WW points! Amazing! I am all about doing it again! I need to go to the meetings tho..I dont think I could be as disciplined online! You go girl! I know how you are when you are determined. You will get it done in no time!

    Before I had my babies, I lost 40 pounds in 5 months on Weight Watchers. They are great! The program REALLY teaches you how to eat – and since you can eat anything, you don’t feel deprived. I need to go back too, but I don’t think I’ll be able to concentrate at the Mommy and Me class with two babies under 2 :}
