My baby boy (6 1/2 years old) has his first surgery coming up. He has this mark that popped up on his face. What we thought was a mole, is called Frepmon.

He said it’s VERY rare and isn’t even online to search for and he’s only seen one other case in all his years of practicing medicine. Basically, it’s a rare infection inside the skin that keeps growing. It starts out looking like a heat bump or tiny pimple, but slowly grows and ends up needing to be cut out & removed. So, on April 23rd, we have an appointment with a reconstructive plastic surgeon. This, most likely, will end up being an outpatient surgery. We won’t know until the day comes. If anyone has ever heard of this, please post any info you have on it and please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Thinking of you guys! xoxox

I have never heard of it, but glad the DR figured out what it is and will be taking care to remove it while he is young. Hugs and wishing you and family well for that stressful day!!!

(((HUGS))) I’ll have to look and see if I can find any info for you but I’m sure it will be a quick procedure! Gunnar actually had a growth removed in office on his nose.
